Adultrap® trap optimized for collecting vector mosquito eggs, larvae and adults

ABSTRACT The productivity of the Adultrap® trap was compared to that modified adultrap traps. Two structural changes were tested, a cover placed at entrance two different heights. A comparison also made with traps containing hydrogel replace water in reservoir. positivity rates all types calculated and compared. models more productive because they collected eggs, larvae, adults. removed protective screen replaced 18.5 times larger than original (p = 0.001). There an increase for total collection mosquitoes. adults can contribute construction robust infestation indices. In addition, it allows live specimens development studies.
